Stepney Workers Club
Stepney Workers Club is an East London brand inspired by the culture of integrating sport spirits, in line with the tradition of workers' associations. The brand's core message is Freedom of Sport and Freedom of Thought. Founded in 2018, the British company S.W.C draws inspiration from the Stepney Workers Sports Club - an anti-fascist and anti-war sports group founded in the 1920s. Characteristic symbol of handshake, representing such values as liberal thinking and racial unity, became a logo of the brand. Stepney Workers Club specializes mainly in the production of vulcanized footwear. Minimalism of form and a tried-and-true style - these are the characteristics that best describe brand's design. Three main sneaker silhouettes: the slip-on - Lister, the low - Dellow and the high - Varden are its best proof. All of three models have a durable vulcanized sole, as well as a super durable canvas upper. The S.W.C sneakers are available primarily in shades of black and white. The Stepney Workers Club is timeless and versatile in its design. Something universal that seems like it could have existed for the last 80 years has been adopted by many subcultures - these silhouettes are relevant today and will be relevant in the future.
