The adidas Superstar has seen numerous collaborations over the years. Japanese streetwear brand BAPE released a camo-printed version of the footwear called the Super Ape Star. This collaboration created immense hype, and is considered one of the most sought-after sneakers today.

Run-D.M.C also collaborated with the team to create special editions of the Superstar that featured their branding. It solidified its cultural impact and showcased how music and fashion can intertwine. CLOT also launched a limited-edition Superstar that had a unique silk upper inspired by traditional Chinese culture. 

The luxury fashion house Prada also collaborated with adidas in 2019 to create a high-fashion take on sneakers for women, merging street style with luxury elements. Sean Wotherspoon also came up with his unique take on Superstar by adding colorful corduroy materials and playful patterns to the mix. This model captured attention for its unique aesthetic and was celebrated for its sustainability efforts.

Lego and adidas teamed up with Lego to create a playful version of the Superstar featuring colorful bricks on the upper in 2022. This collaboration was well-received by sneakerheads and Lego enthusiasts.

The design of the adidas Superstar is characterized by its iconic shell toe, which not only adds style but also provides extra protection. The classic silhouette contains three stripes on each side and comes primarily in two color options: Black and Cloud White.
